The need for a Kurdish cultural institution has emerged almost fifteen years ago at Sivan and his friends’ minds. There were very strong political, social organizations of Kurdish People, but there weren´t any strong cultural institutions to promote Kurdish Culture and introduce the Kurdish art and artists to the world.

This dream was realized by Sivan in 2004. With support of the numerous Kurdish sponsors, he founded the International Cultural Foundation of Sivan Perwer in Frankfurt on Main, in Germany.

Here they made several organizations and started projects to protect and promote Kurdish Art and Culture. In 2006, he bought a building in Bonn and renovated it in order to continue the activities of the foundation. The building will be inaugurated in the spring of this year as the official seat of the charitable foundation.
