The word “Culture” ( from the Lain colere ) or “to cultivate”, generally refers to patterns of human activity and the symbolic structures that give such activity significance. Culture is a keystabilizing mechanism in developing societies and to reach a climax ofharmony in the world today, cultures need to reside equally in apeaceful coexistence.

The experience of perpetual oppression through the centuries in Kurdistan that is situated between the two rivers of paradise mentioned by the books of religion, where milk and honey flow, has not only shownthe Kurds to preserve their many centuries old and rich culture but hasalso shown them to cultivate the ability of tolerance, exchange andencounter as a high value.

The Sivan Perwer International Culture & Art Foundation’s aim is the support of music and art, literature, education, social development, cultural exchange and international dialogue.

Essentially the main vision of the foundation is to present to the world all elements and attitudes of Kurdish culture in the form of:

The International Foundation was founded in the year of 2004 by the initiative of the most successful and famous Kurdish singer ever; Sivan Perwer. It’s adress and offices is currently located in Frankfurt am Main and Bonn ,Germany.
